Jackie Vandermeersch serves as Vice President for HJF’s Events Department. She is responsible for all publicly facing events, public-private collaborations, meetings, and symposia, including HJF’s Leadership Fora and Heroes of Military Medicine Award dinners, the latter which recognize outstanding contributions by senior military leaders, medical professionals, and civilians who advance military medicine. She also oversees use of HJF’s Conference Facility to support military medicine.
Previously, Ms. Vandermeersch served as Director, then Senior Director, for public-public private partnerships. Here she co-led the fundraising efforts for The Veteran Metrics Initiative, a collaborative research study amongst the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and civilian universities and industries to advance the long-term health and well-being of America’s wounded, ill and injured Service Members, Veterans, and their families.
Prior to joining HJF in 2010, Ms. Vandermeersch served as an event director at an event planning firm in Washington, DC. Overall, she has over 26 years in the development, fundraising and event management field.
Ms. Vandermeersch received her bachelor's degree in in psychology from Lynchburg University and is working to complete extension courses in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.
